Friday, February 8, 2013 - This wine is made by an acquaintance of ours Shawna Rosenblum, who's wines we've very much enjoyed in the past. The 2010 Jesse's Vineyard Zin was no different. It was extremely approachable, in the grandmothers blackberry cobbler sort of way! It has a nose of musty cherries and raspberry licorice. It's obviously full bodied and coats your mouth soothingly with a slight caramel flavor on the front palate as well as juicy dark fruits. We found this wine paired very nicely with spicy sausages and tomato sauce. Definitely a good bang for your buck at around $18.
