2010 Keplinger Caldera

Saturday, June 25, 2022 - Wow! This is one of my favorite Keplinger Rhones to date. Right in line with 10 Sumo. Silky smooth olive driven dark fruit and lovely, yet interesting aromatics. Spent brass and gun smoke flint minerality. Medium plus in body with a long finish. I'm blown away and left wanting to locate more.

Great window but I think this wine will continue to age well.

7/6/2022 3:29:00 PM - Thanks for your note on this and ‘10 Sumo. I was lucky to just pick up an auction lot of the 2 for $101, and while these will be the most aged Keplinger I’ve had, I have no doubt, encouraged by your experience, that if they’ve been treated well in the interim, they should be in great shape. And in terms of locating more, I can put this bottle with the ‘09 Outpost for when you hit the 415.
