Sunday, March 24, 2024 - Gorgeous wine. Shows Meursault typicity, but leans towards the Coche side of the Meursault archetype. Since January I have had the chance to taste the 2014 of this wine, and now the 2011. Both vintages were exceptional and both (served blind) evoked guesses of Coche. There is a starting whiff of that struck matchstick. Good racy structure, but combined with hints of maturity and an appropriate touch of Meursault fatness. Ente is one of the now-culty Meursault producers that I have little experience tasting. But based on these recent bottles, I can see why Ente is deservedly up there with Coche, Roulot, Lafon etc.
