Saturday, February 7, 2009 - At Mei-Ping & Trish's Chinese New Year Dinner, NYC, Chinatown. This wine is good on its own ... but it is just PERFECT with Cantonese Chinese food. It paired very well with food, and was especially perfect with the pork (salt-fried), lobster in sauce & chicken. The Chinese sauces, soy, salt and other flavors really bought out the secondary flavors in the wine. [But wouldn't go with Szechwan food or food that is too spicy]. Best-ever bottle ... wish we had brought more w/ us!
