Monday, June 4, 2012 - A lovely and really fragrant nose of blackcurrant, tobacco and cedarwood when first decanted, that really fills the room. Drunk two hours later - good blackcurrant and mellow tobacco nose, sweet blackcurrant fruit on the attack and through the mid-palate, really quite sweet-fruited in the mould of the vintage, with a mellowed, more meaty and slighty spicey development through to the moderately long finish. Lovely. Mature and ready but with time in hand. ****
