Tuesday, January 29, 2019 - Cork was understandably soft and deteriorated. After clearing that out, the juice within was thankfully fine. Enjoyable, old school claret. Still seems a few years from peaking, but certainly drink up if you are holding these. Tannins not fully resolved yet so still a bit of bite; fruit holding up fine all things considering. Initial mild funk was enticing on the nose, giving way to something more elegant when approaching the hour mark.
