Monday, August 3, 2015 - Des vins de rêve en blanc (Aux Délices de Fred): Nez discret finement citronné. Un magnifique vin frais et minéral, pierreux, avec une finale pure, cristalline, saline. Très belle longueur et un équilibre sur la fraîcheur. J'hésitais vers un Puligny, tout en lui trouvant la minéralité d'un grand Chablis. J'aime vraiment beaucoup et j'adore de telles surprises. Personne n'était ailleurs qu'en Bourgogne. 94 pts

8/6/2015 11:22:00 PM - Thanks for your note and rating. We actually did not share your happiness with this wine as we rated it 89. We tend to agree more like a Chablis than a Puligny. If you like Australian Chardonnay, then you should try Giaconda. Stunning!

8/7/2015 7:03:00 AM - Thanks for the suggestion, I am usually not a big fan of Australian Chardonnay but I will try the Giaconda if I ever see it. It does not seem to be available in Quebec though. Cheers.

8/7/2015 5:40:00 PM - Yes, we also are not big fans, but they may also reflect our experience has been limited. Giaconda is stellar...and expensive. Chardonnay By Farr pretty good. Moorilla Muse from Tasmania showed well. Payton & Jones Paul's Estate darn good. Too many wines, not enough time.
