Friday, July 5, 2019 - Pours a ruddy vermillion.
Nose shows sherry and raisin up front, red berry lingering in the background. Smells fresh.
Tart acidity up front led by a vegetal quality, maybe some rhubarb and under-ripened strawberry. There's some cedar and leather for depth. The raisin comes through again with some caramel and molasses to coat the mouth.
Forgot about this budget nebiollo in the cellar, and I'm glad I did - It hasn't lost a step and the tannins are soft.
