Friday, December 14, 2018 - Opened about 1.5 hours prior to serving. Seems to be in a really great spot. Plenty of the dark/savory side of Syrah in play here. A mix of black plum and boysenberry, brined black olives and hints of bacon fat. It gets better with air, a bit of oak emerges to balance things out and there's this persistent, subtle garrigue that helps tie everything together. Chewy tannins and balanced acidity present an absolutely wonderful take on Saint-Joseph.
