Opened about 1.5 hours prior to serving. Seems to be in a really great spot. Plenty of the dark/savory side of Syrah in play here. A mix of black plum and boysenberry, brined black olives and hints of bacon fat. It gets better with air, a bit of oak emerges to balance things out and there's this persistent, subtle garrigue that helps tie everything together. Chewy tannins and balanced acidity present an absolutely wonderful take on Saint-Joseph.

Opened one hour in advance. Aroma of black fruit and olives. Rich, bordering on unctous, flavors of blueberry. Complex finish include elements of blackcurrant, vanilla, and (of all things) rhubarb.
Luscious, forward, youthful, with a solid backbone to keep things in balance. Excellent now, will probably continue to improve.

Still fairly primary, though with largely resolved tannins, this is a pretty bottle of Syrah. Lots of dark, raspberry fruit, a hint of licorice and some gamey notes make it a good pairing with red meat. I'd say it's got another 5-10 years in it depending on how developed your like your Syrah.

Showed good typicity, lots of purple and dark fruit with a little meatiness. A little blocky and dense but otherwise a fine northern Rhone.
