89 Points

Saturday, September 7, 2019 - Side-by-side-comparison between 2011 Rousseau Lavaux St Jacques and 2011 Fourrier Clos St Jacques. The 2011 Rousseau Lavaux Saint Jacques offers a sleek array of dark fruits, blueberry fruit (which I always find in Lavaux St Jacques), delicate fruits with slight austereness but no detectable greenness unlike the Fourrier CSJ. However the Lavaux is much more reserved and almost too tamed with its sleek new oak and low pitched fruits. Overshadowed by the Fourrier CSJ. (89/100)
