Tuesday, April 27, 2021 - Absolutely superb. Everything you could possibly hope for out of old Coche. The youth and freshness is beguiling. Clean, bright, and fresh, but shows wonderful development, honeysuckle, smoke, ripe and open orchard fruit with no signs of browning. Still faintly reductive in distinct house style and also a little leesy. Impressive depth and power. Dense but light and has elegance and easy edges in its maturity. This really is about as good as it gets for White Burgundy I think. Best white of the trip, not that there were a ton, but easily the most impressive. Another perfect bottle from Captain Coche.
