Sunday, February 19, 2017 - An extraordinarily rich and racy Riesling - much bigger than I expected from a Federspiel - with a huge aromatic nose, roasted lime and tropical fruit palate, and acidity and alcohol that is almost burning. We liked this a lot. Mellowed, but was not overpowered, during a meal of gouda and comte cheese, followed by scallops seared with truffle butter, and wilted greens with pancetta.
