Sunday, November 12, 2023 - Pop and pour bottle, at our boozy lunch over the long weekend. Immediately presented itself with lovely floral aromatics and ripe blackberries too. I guessed.. BdM 10 years.

Very concentrated with such ripe blackfruits, and grippy tannins on the mouthfeel too. Nose kept evolving through the afternoon, finishing with polished leather. This is such a complex wine which keeps improving!

SKT was right about guessing that this is a long-hang vintage. It seems in 2010, the estate did not finish picking until the first days of November due to a long, slow ripening season. The tannins are typically structured and rather hard. Oddly I did not find this so "un-ready", but I can't wait to try this in another 5 years.

Thanks Tay for sharing this at the Friends of Tong Woh gathering, celebrating Diwali at SKT and Chef LMK's house party, served with some incredible home cooking including Iberico pork and Angus Tomahawk steak too.
