Friday, May 1, 2015 - 4th of 12, perfect fill, decanted 90 minutes, previous notes very good or better - deepish plummy red, lightening rim, quite viscous; attractive nuanced bouquet, bramble tending to mulberry, violet notes, cigar box and earth; medium full, long, decent balance, but fruit lacking energy and somehow dilute and less than the promise on the nose, confused and not sure where this is heading. Fine just, if slightly disappointing for VCC and not a patch on l'Eglise Clinet or Cheval (17.5/20).
