Saturday, February 23, 2019 - A winner right out of the bottle. Rich and inviting on the nose, red fruit, sweet red fruit, almost a perfume touch to it, complex and intriguing. The palate is darker red fruit, missing the touch of sweetness found on the nose. Grippy but well balanced tannins. Again good complexity, a pleasure to figure out all the elements, What I don’t find is chocolate, but does not disturb me in the slightest, so many other good things going on. Had a few bottles before, most recently back in March 2016. Find the wine significantly improved, improved complexity, simply more going on. Conclude that the listed drinking window is off, wine is better than ever and will likely go on for some time.
