Friday, November 2, 2018 - We decanted for only 30 minutes. Wine was quite closed. Good structure and balance. Blackberries, cassis and sweet tobacco. My first Monte Bello. I expected far more given price and reviews. A wine to revisit no before 5 or 10 years.

11/4/2018 9:52:00 AM - Agree with other comment...Montbello will rarely show young...if u do open you’ll need to decant for no less than 4 hours....even then it’s a gamble. I have seen some positive young tasting reviews but I’m personally waiting on my bottles.
