Monday, January 29, 2018 - Domaine Belluard is a champion for how great the wines from the Gringet grape can be. In these able hands, the Gringet wines excel. This is their dry version, that is competitive with Chardonnay, including the high acid style from Burgundy, the concentrated ones from Sonoma Coast in California, and the rich ones from Meursault. Also, his sparkling Gringet is competitive with Champagne Blanc de Blancs. Overall, an impressive combination of vivid and lively acidity, juiciness, excellent texture, tasty lemon citrus fruit, and richness.
