This wine has evolved since I drank it last. Still dry, clean, and crisp but so much more complex. Aromas of apricot and peach have appeared and are followed by pear and apple and Reine Claude. Long fruity finish w/o any sweetness. Glad I can keep cellaring the last bottle.

Domaine Belluard is a champion for how great the wines from the Gringet grape can be. In these able hands, the Gringet wines excel. This is their dry version, that is competitive with Chardonnay, including the high acid style from Burgundy, the concentrated ones from Sonoma Coast in California, and the rich ones from Meursault. Also, his sparkling Gringet is competitive with Champagne Blanc de Blancs. Overall, an impressive combination of vivid and lively acidity, juiciness, excellent texture, tasty lemon citrus fruit, and richness.

bright color, no signs of age, very mineral wine, gains complexity in the glass. Substantial and good structure - excellent mountain wine, I would be celebrating this wine more if it were less expensive.

Consistent with previous notes. Nice burst of kiwi-lime on the ultra dry finish, after the slightly creamy/round palate. Paired nicely with spicy yellow curry.

MASTER ESAGONALE FRANCIA; 1/14/2015-7/30/2015 (HOTEL WESTIN PALACE MILANO): Degustato alla cieca. 100% Gringet. Affinamento 60% cemento - 40% inox. Buonisssimo

Absolutely fabulous. Crisp, clean grapefruit with a delicacy to the flavors that makes this the perfect antidote to Sauvignon Blanc fatigue (which I am suffering from). Altogether delicious.

Pretty god damned tasty. Somebody else said that is was somewhat "wild" and I totally agree. Like a weird halfbreed sauvignon blanc. Sexy nose. Dry and sharp finish. Yum.

A very distinct and unique popcorn note on both the nose and palate (plain popcorn, not the buttery stuff you'd find in an over-oaked chard). Pear and floral notes come through as well; a light-bodied very fresh wine with light acidity and minerality. Not super complex, but very enjoyable to drink - recommended.

This is wild, funky, different and lovely, all at the same time. A little like the Lady Gaga of wine. It is very lively and energetic, intense, yet balanced and cool. Showing best at cellar temp.

A private dinner (Bentley's Oyster Bar, London, UK): From the indigenous and almost extinct Gringet grape; 22ha exist, of which 10 are tended by this domaine. Fresh and citrussy, scents of mountain air, perfume and candied ginger; energetic palate, attractive bitters, candied lemon, flowers, cool character; good intensity and length.

Apricots, fallen apples, fresh herbs. Medium weight. Beautiful savory finish with a touch of oxidized nuttiness.

This is really good, so unique, so much minerality, decent heft in the mid palate, drinking so well right now.

Lime and stonefruit on the nose. Mineral and perfume on the finish. A nice porch-sipping wine.

Light on its feet, zesty, lime and grapefruit, with good length and pop on the finish.

More high-toned and acidic than Le Feu. Grapefruit, lemon, and lots of minerality. Medium bodied but still rich and mouth-filling. Excellent.
