Some nice tart cherry notes on the nose, with hints of capsicum, roasted red peppers, and a nice acidic tone in the nose. A bit muted now on the attack, with a sweet mid palate that still shows its oak. Some nice acidity lifts the finish a bit. Enjoyable, but not as complex or evolved as I would have liked. After two hours or so it begins to fade and become even less interesting. At its best, its first hour, it was a treat, but then backed down. The score then is cumulative taking into account the high and low.
