Wednesday, June 1, 2022 - Still drinking gorgeously. Nice black fruit still present mid-palate, nice balance, completely resolved tannins. This wine is likely at its peak. Stored in ideal condition since its release in the early 90s, top upper 1/5th of cork still completely dry. Bottom portion broke but was removed with care. This wine really started to open up after 30 minutes and turned into something special with more air, even developing a nice finish that didn't exist upon opening. We didn't decant, just let it breath slowly from the bottle and glasses for the first 30 minutes.

Paired with goat cheese-pistaccio salad at Nicolas, lobster risotto, and seared scallop appetizers. W-dad at Nicola's.
