Saturday, February 27, 2016 - Medium red-garnet color. Pork broth, leather and bay leaf dominate the nose; some red fruits (cherry, cranberry, raspberry) in the background. On arrival, smooth low tannin and medium acidity; easy drinking, meat-y and fruity, lovely and clean. Medium finish. From harvest of Clape's young Cornas plantings (between ten and twenty years old) and his "foot of the hill" vines. Bottle #4 of four.
