Friday, June 8, 2018 - Brick red colour with a mature nose showing licorice, dried herbs and wet soil in a very nice and warm expression and surrounded by a lovely lilac flowers scent. Palate is still showing plenty of fruit to carry this forward, with smoothed tannins and a long acidity before the long finish showing leather and some bitterness of dried herbs.
This was very good to combine with grilled meat and goat cheese and felt more fresh together with food, than by itself. Ready to drink up, but should keep for a few years longer. (Best 2005-2020)
