2012 Turley Zinfandel Juvenile

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

Friday, January 15, 2016 - This has blossomed with some time in the cellar. Far more complex than it deserves to be as the bottom rung wine in the Turley portfolio. Purple ruby with thundering legs and an antique shop nose. Still shows off dark pit fruits on the palate with gentle oak notes. Slightly woody finish at first, but opens after an hour to show off black licorice and wet asphalt mixed with floral elements. This is rocking right now. Tonight I would have rated this in the low 90s. Drink through mid-2017.
