Sunday, January 19, 2014 - 20% whole cluster, 25% new wood. Perfumey nose, great balance with a darker edged quality. My note says 'burly'. There is lots of acid here, forest floor, blue fruit, hint of root beer, with depth and a prickly, lively finish. Is grown 2,000 in elevation on the northern coast of Mendo with an ocean view from the vineyard. I enjoyed the blue fruit and pine notes.
