Sunday, October 18, 2020 - Opened and aired 2 hours before dinner. Cork was pretty soft. Needed to use the Durand on this. Very dark and opaque. Chocolate and very ripe black berries on the nose, but a classic cedar/pencil shavings Bordeaux beneath that. Very soft. Structure provided by the acidity which it has in adequate measure. Black tea, tobacco, a little leathery. Fruit is fading. Quite dry, but not in any way austere. A touch over medium-bodied. Good length. Perhaps a bit past prime. But then again, maybe not the best example due to the problematic cork. From this bottle, best to drink up.
