We were meant compare with the 08 but RJ brought the 06 by mistake. There is no doubt that the 08 is a incredible champagne and shows significantly better than the 12. However, the 12 is more concentrated, perhaps the most concentrated young Cristal going back to the 90 vintage. The 08 is like a great Chevalier where this is like a great Batard.

9/14/2021 4:56:00 PM - IMO, the 88, 96 and 08 are similar, very precise and structured vintages. The 82, 90, 02 and 12 are similar, ripe and concentrated vintages. For now, the 08 Cristal is superior. With time, it will be a stylistic preference but the 08 will always be more saughtafter.
