Friday, October 28, 2022 - There was nothing this electric sweet powerhouse didn’t do for me. It had body, but was by no means syrupy. Where the sugars were heavy, the bright acids lifted them up. It had orange marmalade, lemongrass, honeysuckle, ginger, lemon zest, and dried appricot. This d’Yquem, elegant as it was, had power. It had texture. Vibrancy. Oomph. Dear god! And so many layers!!!! I’m going to find more, because this wine will be perfect in another few decades.
