Friday, May 7, 2021 - BYO - Erik: Everything just screams classic Sauternes and Yquem. There is amazing balance throughout the flavors and aftertaste.
There is an ample amount of botrytis balanced with a piercing acidity. Lovely sweet apricots mingled with vanilla and lots of other spices.
What a legendary wine to taste and an amazing treat!
With such a wine, it is very difficult to not be picky. I felt that there might be better bottles available but this was certainly a bottle above average and it really showed its pedigree!
