Sunday, February 27, 2022 - Fill to base of neck, cork was soft and split just below corkscrew reach then the damndest thing happened, the bottle sucked the rest of the cork back down into the bottle. Fortunately there was no cork taint. Nose was slight caramel notes. Palate was thick, viscous and carried on the caramel notes with mid level sweetness. Paired with Souflee, blue cheese and pear salad and finished with a strawberry baked cheese cake. The wine went with all of them although the salad matched best.
