Friday, February 22, 2008 - Still wrapped a little tight. Very nice nose that I associate with cool climate Syrah: dried salami, lavender, oregano, funk but no Brett here IMO. Dark fruits (black cherry?) linger in the background. The mouthfeel is so fresh with an acidic backbone. Medium bodied, but complex nonetheless. The entirety of the wine seems to linger for a while on the finish. Outstanding, definitely my style.
