Medium-full bodied, dark ruby color, black berry and black cherry fruits with hints of cassis, spice box and a bit of pepper, turning to a funky grassy tone of dried meat on the moderate tannin finish that detracted from the rich fruit flavors.
Dark purple in color. Nose with black fruit and hint of tobacco. Medium to full body. Very fruity with strong favor of plum or blackberry. Taste quit sweet with a bit of herbal notes. Very silky in mouth but finishing is not too long. Interesting American version of syrah!

TWATTERAMA IX – The Corked Twat (Chez Bosh): Charcoal, almost sweet, quite feminine, salmon?!?!!?!, touch short, earthy, sherry, ballsy, Bosh not a fan, Rhone or Spanish. Well could we have a more diametrically opposed set of notes? On second round and voting, was WOTN!!!!!

Surprising nose of tobacco petrol considering the Napa fruit. Blew off in 20 minutes. Nose because pepper and dark fruits with oak and some tobacco. Taste is balanced full of fruit and good structure. Nice linger

Slightly peppery and subdued on opening. Deep rich dark red/black fruits (cherry, boysenberry. Very well balanced. ripe and firm, but not overly tannic or structured.

I think this has always been a restrained style of Syrah. The nose took forever to show. Eventually some smoke, spice, and dried herbs along with rapsberry jam. Tannins are soft, palate is medium bodied at most, and overall just a shy Syrah.

Nice California tinged effort towards a N Rhone. Quite a bit sweeter than the average NR would be, but with similar structure. What was missing for me was the bloodiness that associate with Syrah at this price point, which is often hard to find unless you are, in fact, buying a Cote-Rotie or Hermitage. Decent, maybe will loose some baby fat in a few years.

Drank this with friends a couple of months ago and forgot to take it out of CT. After a couple of hours open, this really was singing...Showed a beautiful balance of old world and new world style...was a stunning match with my roasted pork tenderloin.

Still wrapped a little tight. Very nice nose that I associate with cool climate Syrah: dried salami, lavender, oregano, funk but no Brett here IMO. Dark fruits (black cherry?) linger in the background. The mouthfeel is so fresh with an acidic backbone. Medium bodied, but complex nonetheless. The entirety of the wine seems to linger for a while on the finish. Outstanding, definitely my style.

Gorgeous nose of rasberries, smokiness, and a touch of brett. The palate starts off with wonderfully bright fruit, lined with fantastic acidity. The smoke element continues as well. However, the brett effects the finish, and it doesn't work with this wine. It takes away from the beautiful fruit. All in all, an extremely nice syrah, and I love the fact that it's not heavy like so many N. Cali Syrah's. But I don't see how you could argue that it isn't drastically overpriced. I could see half of suggested retail as a fair price, but it would have difficulty fighting with the top wines even at that price point. I'm assuming the names and vineyard are carrying this wine. Easy pass for the price.

Color: Dark red core, red edges, solid youthful color
Nose: Pepper, beef, lots of cassis, some funkiness at first but that settled down nicely
Palate: Cassis and raspberries, licorice, mineral driven and medium bodied, silky tannins. Great acidity.
