Tuesday, March 9, 2010 - Dark opaque colour. The nose offers up a very concentrated dark fruit, cow stable, smoked wood, lead, wet metal and some green spice. Really a good mixture of primary and more evolved tertiary aromas. Sweet attack, but not at all too sweet like the 2003. Extremely soft and mature tannins. I prefer the wine now as opposed to later when the tannins have melted away completely, since the tannins compensate for the fairly low acidity. The sweet tannins lead to a very long and mouth watering finish. Very hard to resist now. Lovely on its own, exceptional with food!
