Sunday, March 25, 2007 - Very deep garnet with a touch of purple. Wild nose of plum, red and black berries mixed with herbs – this just screams southern France. The nose is very powerful – it really fills the room. Supper palate presence – initial pop of flavor is followed by layer after layer of sweet fruit and a lovely rusticity that makes this wine so special. Still so balanced. This has a depth and complexity of flavor that put the other chateauneufs from the weekend to shame. This is another testament to the greatness of the 2004 CdP (my opinion obviously).
