The light garnet color might fool into thinking the palate will be thinner, but it is rich with layers of red fruit, licorice, vanilla (on the nose nose and palate) and a wonderfully long, sweet finish. Complex and elegant, it is one of the best wines I've had in the last 12 months. It is in a great place now but has the power to keep going strong for 7 or so more years if you prefer the fruit to be more subdued. I had no regrets opening it now.
