Monday, May 5, 2014 - Decanted 90 mins. ahead. Very dark garnet color with a rusty tinge. Nice nose of black pepper, cherries, bread. Firm on the palate, with iron notes and tart cherry flavors. Finishes with lots of tannins. This wine is def. interesting now, but it's youthful. Needs time. Maybe lots of time.
