Wednesday, January 13, 2016 - This is a good wine, but not great. It has a deep purple color with a nose of dark fruit and oak. This wine tastes of blackberries and cherries, along with some leather and wood. It is clearly old world and earthy, not overly extracted and jammy. This blend is medium bodied with a moderate finish and notable tannins. It is clearly a good food wine, but not the type that makes you want to keep refilling your glass after dinner.
