Friday, July 14, 2017 - 2012 Blind Pinot Introspective Retrospective (Chicago, IL): Tasted single blind. Deep, dark garnet -- one of the darkest colored wines. A big, rich nose of black cherries with some meat and spice. Wow, loads of concentration and a cross-section of red and black cherry. The size and scale had me convinced this was the Bonnes Mares. 3 votes for GC and 3 votes for 1er Cru -- so another wine that clearly showed old world. My #5, Group's #7.
