Tuesday, May 18, 2010 - Purple. Smokey, jammy blackcurrant, freshly cut beech wood, hints of mushroom and dry earth, quite high alcohol. Palate showed plum tart, full bodied backed up by structured tannin, rich, but not drying at all. Medium to long finish with sweet tannin.
Palate better than nose. Showed the earthy and smokey character of St. Estephe and alcoholic 2003.
