90 Points

Monday, December 2, 2013 - Better than 10 months ago. Aromas of blackberry, black currant, mint, cedar, earth, spice and cigar box. The tannins are not yet resolved, but a little softer than when last tasted. Still has a slight acidic sting on the tongue from the tannin, but the tannins do not invade the appreciation of the wine like last time. Flavors of blackberry, black currant, mint, earth, spice and oak. Good acid and structure. Decent and fairly rich fruit; better intensity. A medium-long finish. I think this will be a better wine down the road, when the tannins abate. Good pairing with leftover turkey from TG.
