Wednesday, April 13, 2016 - Big Bottle Night, we drank in order: 2009 Chateau Potensac (3L), 2012 Sebastiani Gravel Bed Red (1.5L), 2006 Anderson's Conn Valley Eloge (1.5L) and the 2003 Chateau Meyney (1.5L). All the wines, except the Meyney where at least partially decanted, with the Potensac being entirely decanted. We started drinking the first wine 15 minutes after opening, but since it was the double magnum, we also had that one again, at the end of the rotation.

Something has to finish last, but this was a very good wine. It might have suffered a bit due to storage issues. This was the one wine we didn't decant, and we basically popped and poured it. Initial tastes were a little flat and muted. It opened up a bit as the evening went on. Less fruit driven than Napa wines, so it also may have suffered coming after the Eloge and Gravel Bed.
