2003 Château Meyney

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

Sunday, April 17, 2016 - Decanted for an hour before serving over 3 hour period. New oak highlights young ripe fruit structure. Full body. Felt very young and drank more like a Sonoma cab than a medoc. Good cassis laced with a tobacco note. No graphite or cedar present. Fine tannins and a mineral nuanced finish that goes about 20 seconds. Would wait another couple of years before popping this if I had more. May try to procure another magnum.
