Saturday, April 23, 2022 - Exceedingly suave with smoky black cherry fruit and silky soft tannins. It was incisive, developing additional layers of flavour including dark chocolate, mocha & prunes. Complex, yet still fresh, ending with a super lingering finish.

Most critics are agreed that 2013 is not a great red wine vintage in Bordeaux, yet this completely defied the odds. In fact, I had previously tasted a bottle of 2013 a few years back and was equally impressed. Perhaps the fact that I had little expectation (again) I found this to be a rare treat.
