Thursday, March 25, 2021 - Drank from a half bottle. Thus may be a little more forward.

One the nose Plum, black fruit, heat tannin. Dark ruby colour. After double decant earthy notes become evident.

Early on taste was dominated by supple tannins. A little flabby and unstructured but that is to be expected with the vintage. Overwhelming notes of dark fruits and well rounded finish of plums and cedar. It is oaky and a little diluted. Clarity and precision is limited.

After an hour of decant it was spicy, juicy and fragrant. Whether it improved for the time is debatable but what is evident is there is something for everyone in this wine. Finally after many hours was cherry violet and oak dominating. This wine will hold but probably not for more than 5+ years

Enjoyable introduction at the price point to the upper echelons or saint-emilion, enjoyable let leaves you wanting for more!
