Tuesday, January 1, 2008 - Nice deep ruby/garnet. A touch pinkish on the rim still. Quite wild and spicy on the nose : seems velvety and layered. Floral - perhaps even rose - touches, and a lovely tarry depth to it. Lovely supple, richly fruited, mouth entry. Succulent cherry fruit and delicate layers of earthy and spicy flavours. Mid-palate is superbly structured and balanced. Finish is long and completely satisfying. A magnificent though slightly reserved wine. ****
