Friday, August 12, 2016 - From a half bottle. Dark color. Vanilla to start with but this fades away, blackish fruit, cinnamon, licorice nose. Nice complexity. In the mouth, medium to full bodied. Dark fruit and mellow tannins but they're still there to give it structure and avoid that sticky sweetness that I have found in some Aussie shiraz before. Finish is long but with some heat. Still good to cellar to see how it evolves but drinking nicely now. 91-93p
