Monday, March 25, 2013 - An absolutely wonderful Burgundy, drinking well now. A lively nose jumping from the glass with red and black fruits, vanilla, plum, mint and minerals. A very precise palate with impeccable balance between fruit, acidity and bitterness. Very long and very elegant. Compensates for many bad (and often still expensive) Burgundy experiences. Simply outstanding! Unfortunately this is my last bottle of this wine.
PS: All Clos de La Roche 2002 from H.Lignier are called Cuvee Auguste. I forgot exactly why but I think it refers to someone in the family.
