Friday, July 15, 2011 - On an email from a cellar purchase so decided to grab it as I've never seen/had a Coche rogue. Notes are based off of 2-3 hours following the wine.

The nose is a beautiful perfume of spiced red fruits, hints of freshly potted flowers that lingered slowly from the glass. The palate is just a soft refined strawberry and cherry that is laser focused and just hits that just dances on the mid palate and has such lingering flavor that extends to a long finish mixed in with an incredibly bright acidity. It's as bright of a wine as one can think of and a great counterpoint to the wines we had that night.

The sole problem with the wine is at the very end of the finish 15 seconds or so after you take the sip you have this light burnt rubber aftertaste that comes out of nowhere, if not for this, the wine would have an absolutely stellar taste on the palate.
