Thursday, July 14, 2016 - Bastille Day with GMs and Mivvy: Bottle 348 of 1756. Bursts out of the glass with a powerful array of aromas - raspberry, roses, char, truffle and plenty of earthy notes as well as some herbs, spice and stalk. The palate is just as good as the nose, with a mix of great texture and depth and while the fruit is there, it is nicely restrained and layered rather than being a full on powerhouse. Excellent in all regards, this is a seriously impressive wine that was superb now and showed the structure that it will happily continue to develop if given further time.
