Friday, December 4, 2015 - Popped & poured, and also translucent ruby - these three wines all look the same shade of red/ruby. Nice complex nose here, with an "earthy" tone that is noteworthy.
Light-bodied on the palate, adequate acidity, a tannic finish - my favorite of the three wines at first blush, but none of these wines have yet had the benefit of being matched up with my better half's pizza yet.
I would have to say that over the past 2-3 years, the Etna region has been one of the fastest growing portions in my cellar, and I always get the impression that these wines will continue to improve with additional time in the bottle.
